"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
-Mark Twain
Every dream has to start small, right?
I built this small boat in my workshop. It is designed from the plans for the "Summer Breeze"
I found at Simplicity Boats. There were a few modifications along the way and some things did not fit
exactly right, but it sails nice and is really alot of fun around the harbor(Marina Del Rey). I plan on taking across the channel to Catalina sometime soon. It will have to be modified somewhat for blue water cruising,
but I think it is possible. My pal Justin is going to follow in his 27ft Catalina, loaded with gear and drunks.
